How to Survive: Heatwave Fashion

Hands up if you’re loving this heatwave!

Things are hotting up girls, as the UK sees some of the highest temperatures ever recorded in our usually very grey country!

As the weather warms up and the sun comes out, it’s time to pull out your best summer dresses, playsuits and of course, the sun cream!

We’ve compiled a list of our go-to items that help us survive the British heatwave and look good doing it!

A Culotte Jumpsuit

Floral Jumpsuit

Jumpsuits are always a great choice as they’re usually super comfy.

Plus, with an all-in-one, you don’t have to worry about putting an outfit together when you’re hot and bothered!

We’d recommend opting for a culotte style as long trousers can be a pain in the heat, and this Summer Bliss Yellow Floral Print Culotte Jumpsuit is nice and summery with a pretty print.

A Summer Dress

Summer Dress

The classic summer dress can always be relied upon to get you through a hot day. We heart this Maldives Sun Tropical Print Wrap Dress – the colour combo makes it one of the prettiest summer dresses we’ve seen to date!

Featuring a bold tropical print, you’ll be ready to slay in this gorgeous mini dress. The frill detail adds a girly element that we just love.

A Playsuit

Polkadot Playsuit

If you don’t fancy wearing a mini dress but want to stay cool in a heatwave, a playsuit is a lovely alternative.

Halfway between a summer dress and a jumpsuit, a playsuit might actually be the perfect summer item!

You know we’re mad for polka dots here at PBHQ and take any opportunity to jump on the trend, so our playsuit of choice has to be the Drop Dead Gorgeous White Polka Dot Cut Out Playsuit.

We’re getting gorgeous vintage vibes from this print and the cut out detail shows a little bit of skin – we wanna see that tan!

Complete the look with wedges and a straw bag.

A Maxi Dress

Who doesn’t love maxi dresses?

They’re glam, they’re floaty and they’re perfect for a heatwave!

If you want to be cool without having to wear something short, then we’d recommend a maxi dress like the Caribbean Island White Tropical Print Maxi Dress, ‘cause if we’re feeling like we’re in the Caribbean, we might as well dress the part!

The side slits make this dress easy to move around in and a lot cooler than your standard maxi, and don’t even get us started on that fabulous print!
