While the weather has been terrible, we’ve been making the most of our Netflix subscription.
From binge-worthy box sets to dramatic documentaries, Netflix has been supplying the goods this winter. And it’s no different when it comes to films.

Legally Blonde (2001)
Starring: Reese Witherspoon
Elle Woods is our favourite ever Barbie girl who proves she’s got beauty and brains. When Elle’s boyfriend breaks up with her for a smarter girl, she enrols in Harvard law school in an attempt to win him back.
Legally Blonde is filled with plenty of quotable one-liners (our favourite being “bend and snap”). Plus, you can expect loads of glam fashion and a bonus cute dog.
Expect to empowered and ready to take on the world after watching (or re-watching) Reese Witherspoon’s performance as the fabulous Elle Woods!
Honey (2003)
Starring: Jessica Alba
Honey Daniels is an aspiring dancer and choreographer whose dream is to be a hip-hop choreographer. She’s finally discovered by music video director, Michael, but he wants more than to be her mentor.
Honey features some seriously slick dance routines and great music that will have you dancing around your living room. There are even some cameos from a few music stars such as Missy Elliot.
You will definitely want to head out clubbing after watching Honey.
Matilda (1996)
Starring: Mara Wilson
Based on the children’s book by Roald Dahl, Matilda follows the story of Matilda Wormwood, an intelligent young girl who discovered she has telekinetic powers.
Matilda is a classic film that’s sweet, fun and uplifting. It is a feel-good family film can be enjoyed by all ages.

Sex and the City (2008)
Starring: Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon.
Sex and the City is literally the ultimate chick-flick!
Adapted from the timeless TV show, the Sex and the City movie sees Carrie kand Mr. Big's relationship run into some trouble. As her BFF’s try and console her, we learn they’re also going through their own issues.
If you’re looking for fun, friendship and fashion then this film is exactly what you need. It’s filled with plenty of cocktails and the best clothes – and we LOVE it!
To all the Boys I've Loved Before (2018)
Starring: Lana Condor
To all the Boys I’ve Loved Before was a big hit for Netflix when it was released in 2018 and it gets great reviews!
We think this film might just be one of the sweetest we’ve ever seen, with relatable characters and a cute story line.
Lara Jean never reveals her crushes, instead she writes letters which are then locked away in her room. However, Lara soon discovers that all of her secret letters have been posted to her former loves and she must face them all one by one.
This teen romance film will have you feeling like you’re back in high school (in a good way).
Hitch (2008)
Starring: Will Smith
Professional date doctor, Alex, runs into trouble when his charms won’t work on the girl he really wants.
Will Smith is funny as usual and it’s his bromance with Albert (Kevin James) that makes this film such a classic.
It’s an enjoyable romantic comedy that’s sure to put a smile on your face.
Dirty Dancing (1987)
Starring: Jennifer Grey and Patrick Swayze
Whilst on a boring holiday with her family, Frances, a.k.a. Baby, falls head over heels for the resort’s dancing instructor.
One of the most memorable films of all time, Dirty Dancing pulls on our heart strings every single time we watch it.
It also has one of the biggest selling soundtracks of all time - we’re not afraid to belt out Time of Our Life on the karaoke…
Burlesque (2010)
Starring: Christina Aguilera and Cher
Okay, so this isn’t exactly a ground-breaking film, but we absolutely love the soundtrack!
There’s plenty of super catchy tunes throughout the whole film that had us singing proudly. Our favourite is Express.
The story follows Ali, a small-town girl who moves to Los Angeles to make it big in show business. She stumbles into a Burlesque Lounge and realises it’s what her dreams are made of.
Friends with Benefits (2011)
Starring: Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake
Jamie and Dylan decide to become friends with benefits, but they soon find out that this can become really complicated.
The friendship between the main characters in Friends with Benefits has us saying ‘aww’ throughout.
We love this uplifting story of falling in love with your best friend. Plus, there’s loads of funny bits.
50 First Dates (2004)
Starring: Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler
This silly but sweet romantic comedy can bring us out of even the worst moods.
Henry is sure Lucy is the girl of his dreams. But he soon discovered she suffers from short-term memory loss and can’t remember him. So, Henry has to think of new ways to win her over every day.
